Cuff

After the surgery, you will most likely need an AirCast.  This equipment is amazing.  It circulates very cold water around the knee and does not bother the skin…well, at least mine doesn’t get bothered by it.

The cuff is designed to go around your knee.  It is adjustable and held in place with velcro.  To clean it, just wipe the outside with a damp cloth and let it air dry.  When you are finished with the cuff, make sure you drain it completely.  To drain it, keep it plugged into the pump, with the pump off, and raise the cuff higher than the pump.  I usually put the pump on its edge so the water dumps into the sink and then hook the cuff to a higher cabinet knob.  🙂
